Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will come from another engineering consulting company rather than a utility.

Please note:

*** Candidates with less than 5 years of substation design experience will not be considered.

***Experience limited to industrial, manufacturing, or LV/MV distribution is not a fit.

*** Candidates employed by utilities may be considered if they have strong consulting-style design

Key Responsibilities:

Lead substation physical and/or protection & control (P&C) design efforts.

Develop electrical engineering deliverables using tools such as CYME.

Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource planning.

Interface directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Oversee QA/QC processes and mentor junior engineers.

Support renewable energy integration and grid modernization projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.

5+ years of HV utility substation design experience (69kV–500kV or EHV 500kV+), either in physical or protection & control design.

Prior experience with a consulting engineering firm on utility substation projects required.

PE license or ability to obtain PE within 1–2 years required.

Strong project leadership and QA/QC experience highly desirable.
