Haute health is seeking a passionate and skilled Assistant Chef to join our team, supporting our commitment to providing delicious and nutritious meals.

As an Assistant Chef specializing in healthy cuisine, you will assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, with a focus on preparing fresh, wholesome dishes that meet specific dietary needs and preferences.

Responsibilities: Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development, focusing on healthy, seasonal ingredients and balanced nutritional profiles.

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards.

Cook and plate dishes according to established recipes and presentation guidelines, ensuring consistent quality and taste.

Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies, minimizing waste and maximizing cost-effectiveness.

Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff on healthy cooking techniques and dietary considerations.

Collaborate with the Head Chef to accommodate special dietary requests and allergies.

Ensure proper storage and handling of food items to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.

Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Assist with catering events and special functions as needed.

Qualifications: 2 years of experience as a line cook or assistant chef in a restaurant or catering environment, preferably with experience in healthy cuisine.

Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.

Strong knowledge of healthy cooking techniques and ingredients.

Familiarity with various dietary restrictions and allergies (e.g., gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free). Excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques.

Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
