Risk Analyst-not a fully remote

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The Risk Analyst is responsible for the coordination and oversight of the Association’s risk management activities. This role includes developing, implementing, maintaining, and documenting comprehensive risk management programs. The Risk Analyst serves as a liaison to management and board risk committees, as well as the audit committee, ensuring effective communication and coordination of all third-party audit, examination, and review activities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business management, or business administration is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting and/or relevant industry risk management or internal audit roles. Candidates must possess certification such as Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, or relevant risk certification, or be in the process of obtaining certification within three years of hire. The role demands strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in understanding inter- and intra-company accounting relationships, loan accounting systems, GL interfaces, and integration of all systems, databases, and vendor support that impact financial statement and reporting accuracy.

Applicants should demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer service abilities, effective teamwork, and team-building capabilities. A comprehensive knowledge of GAAP accounting/reporting is essential. The ability to monitor and understand changing expectations from ICFR system workgroups, FCA, PCAOB, COSO, IRS, as relevant to the Association, is required. Advanced knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley is necessary.
