RELATIONSHIP MANAGER
Position Summary
NOPEC Relationship Managers (RM) serve as the main point of contact for our member communities elected and appointed officials and are responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with communities and their leaders. Will advise the Dir. of Government Affairs and the NOPEC Leadership Team on specific needs, goals, and challenges of assigned communities. As a member of the Relationship Manager Team, assists with growing NOPEC accounts through membership expansions and recruitment of new communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, one or more of the following:
Community Relationship Management: (50%)
· Develops and nurtures community relationships to attain greatest involvement with NOPEC and the most positive customer experience.
· Creates environmental social governance (ESG) and energy related strategies and messaging to assist communities in achieving their individual vision.
· Assists in the introduction, promotion, development, and administration of associated NOPEC products, services, and programs, including: PACE/STEP financing, Energy Advisor, Do Not Knock, NOPEC Energized Community Grants, Sponsorships, Preferred Pricing, Energy Audit and other member benefits.
· Participates in the development of comprehensive marketing plans and programs.
Aggregation Operations Support: (20%)
· Establishes and maintains positive relationships with all elected and appointed officials both within existing NOPEC membership and with prospective NOPEC members.
· Work with other team members to develop and deploy retail, small business, and mercantile level retail offerings designed to attract, retain, and expand NOPEC’s customer and community base.
· Conducts the daily activities of securing appropriate resolutions/ordinances to establish new and expanded NOPEC members and to establish aggregation programming.
· Presents reports and provides details on sales and relationship management progress to Senior Management, the Board of Directors, and to the General Assembly as appropriate.
Membership Expansion and Growth (20%)
· Participate in the creation of NOPEC community expansion/retention and customer relationship strategy.
· Participates in the development and presentation of progress reports to existing membership on their aggregation programming.
· Participates in research, analysis, and monitoring of the competitive market.
Administrative Duties (10%)
· Maintains notes and records within the NOPEC CRM to ensure consistency of data and services provided to each community.
· Assist with planning large organizational events including, but not limited to: NOPEC General Assembly, partner conferences and community education sessions.
· Demonstrates a high level of organization, time management and communication with all stakeholders.
Physical Requirements
Sitting, standing, and bending.
Ability to use office equipment including but not limited to office copier, shredder, computer equipment, audio/visual equipment.
Ability to speak in a clear and easily comprehensible manner.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education and Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field; bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
Private nonprofit or governmental experience and/or industry related certifications preferred.
Computer Skills: Competency in all office-based functions (Microsoft Office – all major components), Customer Relationship Management software, database management, and presentation software.
Valid Ohio Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance at a level established by NOPEC.
Ability to speak publicly in a confident and compelling manner.
Ability to compose narratives, presentations, and correspondence that effectively delivers NOPEC messaging.

Working Conditions
The incumbent will work in an office environment but is also expected to be able to function in an environment consistent with multiple public buildings, trade shows, and other event locations throughout NOPEC’s Ohio footprint. Resultantly, the incumbent should expect to occasionally deal with the normal range of weather within Ohio including heat, cold, humidity, rain, etc. Frequent travel within the NOPEC footprint is expected.
