Pumpkin is looking for a results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to be the driving force behind the growth and success of our inside sales team.

You will coach and develop sales professionals to deliver best-in-class pet insurance and care to families nationwide.

As a sales leader at our rapidly scaling startup, you'll have the exciting opportunity to make your mark by building a high-impact sales organization essential to achieving Pumpkin's mission of revolutionizing pet healthcare.

This will be a hybrid position, with a requirement of 2-3 days a week in the Columbus, OH office.

What You'll Do:

Inspire and motivate a team of 10-12 sales professionals to achieve ambitious growth goals within the veterinary channel.

Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to achieve sales goals and objectives for the inside sales team.

Set sales activity targets for your team, ensuring their ability to consistently meet their quarterly individual and team objectives.

Regularly monitor sales activity results, pipelines, and forecasts to provide accurate and insightful reports to leadership on performance and trends.

Mentor and coach team members to expand their capabilities (e.g. selling skills, business planning, technical knowledge, territory management, etc.) with a continuous improvement mindset.

Support the development of a standardized sales process, from planning through execution, enabling more focused coaching and improved forecasting across the business.

Partner with Sales Leadership to set and track impactful OKRs specific to the inside sales team.

Continuously stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, as well as competitor activity, to ensure the inside sales team is well-positioned to succeed.

Assist with occasional strategic projects as needed, such as trade shows or new program development.

What We're Looking For:

7+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or related field

3+ years of people management or team leadership experience

A track record of developing high performance sales teams that exceed targets.

Excellent analytical abilities to derive insights from CRM data that identify areas for improvement.

Strong leadership presence that motivates teams to accomplish shared goals.

A passion for coaching and elevating the capabilities of sales professionals.

Ability to pass/obtain a Property & Casualty License within 30 days

Undergraduate degree (BS/BA)

Ability to travel up to 10% as required

Bonus Points:

Animal Health or Veterinary Industry experience

Previous experience with Insurtech, Healthcare or Start-up organizations

Active Property & Casualty Producer License
