What You Do
What You Do
Support actions for quality improvement and stabilization through inspection and Floor Management Systems, team member involvement and defined problem resolution methodologies.
As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:
Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
Work closely with advisors from Mazda and Toyota
Create production improvement strategies relative to KPI (safety, quality, productivity, and cost) achievement and support Group Leaders through Team Members in translating those strategies into concrete action plans by use of Floor Management Systems
Develop and manage department budget (to include capital and operating budgets)
Manage receiving inspection and body audit teams
Maintain communication and support QE in managing third-party sort groups
Collaborate with parts suppliers to solve problems
Create group leader development plans to ensure readiness and ability to effectively coach team members
Collaborate cross-departmentally to problem-solve and implement countermeasures when necessary
Share information and communicate goals within and outside of the department
Ensure alignment of quality analysis activities to support the business plan
Develop and ensure implementation of Quality Standards and Procedures
Develop and manage KPI’s for department and section processes
Support model change quality operational plans
Support change points for supplier, design, and quality engineering
Ensure there are not any shift differences, managing, reports, support should all be consistent
Ensure reporting is accurate, timely for daily, weekly, monthly reports and presentation
Prioritize and maintain TOPs Activities
Ensure customer satisfaction for component parts and completed vehicle quality
Ensure quality operations inspection readiness
Performs other related duties as assigned by the department
Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)
What You Bring
High School Diploma or GED
2 years' supervisory experience in an equivalent role or internal demonstrated experience
Cross-functional understanding of automotive manufacturing
Project management experience
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products
What Sets You Apart
5+ years’ supervisory experience in automotive manufacturing (QC experience preferred)
Experience and Knowledge in Toyota internal logistics
HR policy administration experience as it relates to floor management
