Overview:

Join our dedicated mental health team at this Correctional Facility as a Licensed Psychologist. This vital role supports the psychological well-being and rehabilitation of incarcerated individuals through clinical assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention. Qualifications:

Must hold a current and valid Psychologist license issued by the California Board of Psychology.

A minimum of 12 continuous months of relevant experience within the last 3 years (post-licensure; internship/practicum hours not applicable).

Must be proficient in spoken and written English to ensure effective communication and documentation.

Responsibilities:

Provide a full range of psychological services under the clinical direction of the Senior Psychologist or Chief of Mental Health.

Conduct psychological evaluations, develop diagnostic impressions, and formulate individualized treatment plans.

Lead and participate in individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis interventions, including cell-front contacts as required.

Complete mental status examinations, review clinical records, and utilize collateral data to support diagnostic and treatment decisions.

Actively contribute to Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IOTT) meetings and ensure thorough documentation of all clinical interventions.

Support institutional transitions and discharge planning, facilitating appropriate referrals to community-based mental health resources.

Uphold institutional safety and security standards by maintaining therapeutic boundaries and following correctional procedures.

Remain in compliance with California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) laws, policies, and operational guidelines.
