Velocity Metalworks is a growing manufacturing company looking for a strong team member to join our family-like atmosphere. This is a 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday position, with overtime availability at our Belleville, IL location. The ideal candidate would come with 2-4 years’ experience in this trade, the ability to work with precision and accuracy and hold excellent attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:

· Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics to create or modify tools and dies for various manufacturing processes

· Operate machine tools like lathes, mills, and grinders to produce high-quality components, (CNC experience is not required but would be a plus)

· Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of tooling

· Build new stamping dies from start to finish

· Inspect finished tools and equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards

· Tryout, trouble shoot, and modify new tooling to meet customer part requirements

· Collaborate with design to meet tooling requirements

· Identify and implement solutions to improve efficiency and optimize manufacturing processes

Reports to: Director of Operations

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma required

· 2-4 years of experience as a tool and die maker required

· Ability to build and maintain stamping dies with little supervision

· Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions

· Ability to work with precision and accuracy

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

· Strong Organizational Skills

· Excellent Attention to Detail

Pay Range: $30-$36 based on experience

Pay increase opportunities based on performance
