Spring Coil Grind Setter/Operator

Position: CNC Machinist Spring Coil Grind Setter/Operator

Location: Mount Prospect, IL

Shift: 1st Shift (5:00 AM start, 8-hour shift)

Pay: $26 $29/hr. (based on experience) Weekly Pay

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate spring grinders for squaring spring ends. The ideal candidate will ensure all quality standards, production targets, and safety protocols are consistently met.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate spring grinders according to specifications

Inspect and maintain grinding wheels and tooling

Perform tool changeovers and adjust grinding wheels as needed

Run sample parts and verify length and squareness; submit for Quality approval

Complete SPC charting and monitor ongoing part quality

Move finished parts to final inspection while following safety procedures

Requirements:

At least 1 year of spring coil setup experience prefer

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools

Physically able to handle heavy materials, stand, walk, and sit throughout the shift

Able to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment and follow detailed instructions
