We are looking for an Information Technology Product Support Technologist in support of the Sea-Based X-Band Radar (SBX) Program.
General Summary: The Information Technology Product Support Technologist will support three Government owned, Contractor operated DoD accredited networks.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Works with IT vendors and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to tailor and configure hardware and software procurements in support of the SBX accredited networks.
Works with OEMs and resellers to develop tailored product and service SKUs that can be competed with multiple vendors for price competition.
Products such as Windows Servers, VMWare, Linux, Windows Desktop, and Splunk are examples of software.
Hardware technologies such as Rubrik, ESXI Servers, Cisco routing/switching technologies, and NETApp are examples of hardware.
Utilize Approved Product Lists for product evaluation.
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive product support strategies for IT systems, ensuring alignment with operational goals and cost-effectiveness.
Perform integration and/or analysis of data, products, and systems tools as requested.
Generates Configuration Change Packages to document and submit changes for approval.
Supports Risk Management Framework compliance, controls, and assessments.
Required Job Qualifications: Strong knowledge of IT hardware and software, equipment sustainment, and lifecycle management.
Knowledge of Federal, DoD, and Army regulations related to logistics and product support management.
On-site/in person work is required in Huntsville, AL.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is required.
At least 5-10 years of applicable experience is required to include: experience with Supply Support for hardware and software; Risk Management Framework principles; and Life Cycle Cost principles.
US Citizenship required.
The ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance is required.
Desired Job Qualifications: A DoD Baseline Security Certification, such as Security+, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is desired.
A BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a Cyber Security related degree is desired.
The successful candidate must have excellent written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
