Responsibilities:
Lead the automotive development and testing of Powertrain Control Units, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards.
Develop comprehensive hardware and software specifications based on system requirements.
Conduct rigorous confirmation testing on both actual vehicles and simulation environments to validate PCU functionality.
Proactively troubleshoot and effectively resolve electrical and software-related issues identified during testing.
Perform in-depth software functional data analysis and generate detailed, insightful test reports.
Collaborate closely with component suppliers and internal departments (e.g., design, manufacturing) to address and resolve technical challenges.
Exercise sound technical judgment and make informed decisions with moderate supervision.
Contribute effectively to project goals, whether working independently or as part of a collaborative team.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and market trends within the automotive industry and proactively propose innovative ideas for future product development.
Required Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Powertrain ECU validation. Experience with Transmission, Shifter, or Fuel Injection validation is highly preferred.
Strong foundational knowledge of electrical hardware and software development processes.
Genuine interest in the automotive domain and demonstrated experience in utilizing electronic measuring equipment and performing electrical troubleshooting.
Proficient PC skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and experience with Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANape) and ETAS INCA.
Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration within and across teams.
Ability to travel occasionally and work overtime as project needs dictate.
Valid Ohio driver's license.
