Data Business Analyst

The Data Business Analyst is tasked with working closely with various teams to evangelize data insights. This role will participate in feasibility analyses, solutioning new data-driven implementations, and creating documentation to support each data journey.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Business Enablement Lead: Work with the Business Enablement Lead to qualify and quantify data opportunities through ideation workshops with business stakeholders.

Conduct Process Assessments: Interact with business stakeholders to conduct high-level process assessments to support data-driven solutions.

Create Data Visualization Dashboards: Develop and maintain data visualization dashboards based on business needs, using tools such as Diverport, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to provide actionable insights.

Participate in Brainstorming Sessions: Collaborate with Data Engineers to provide inputs for data solutions.

Understand End-User Requirements: Make recommendations for solutions as needed, work with cross-functional teams to capture business requirements, and perform thorough testing.

Present Analysis and Results: Prepare and present analysis, methods, and results to non-expert personnel, management team, and technical experts throughout different projects and processes.

Provide Training for End Users: Provide user training for Dimensional Insight products.

Maintain Security of Analytic Tools: Maintain user security of Analytic tools.

Support and Enhance Key Organization-Wide Processes:

Solicit Input from End-User Departments: Regularly gather input from end-user departments.

Monitor Progress: Track progress against established departmental and organizational goals throughout the year.

Research and Recommend New Processes: Research and recommend new processes and technology to improve the quality of services provided.

Complete Mandatory Education: Complete mandatory education, annual competencies, and department-specific education within established timeframes.

Comply with Policies: Adhere to regulatory agency requirements, survey processes, and compliance.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, management information systems, finance, accounting, procurement, business, or related field.

Experience: Minimum two to four years of experience in operations or process consultancy. Strong analytical mind. Experience working as a business analyst preferred. Experience working with Dimensional Insight or Oracle Health Data Intelligence tools preferred.

Certifications: Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI)

Skills:

Ability to understand a business process based on a workflow diagram and conceptualize it as a data-driven solution.

Experience using Dimensional Insight applications or Oracle Health Data Intelligence to drive data-driven operational efficiencies.

Extensive experience with enterprise-wide business process improvement initiatives.

Adept at process assessments and understanding implications, opportunities, and challenges of applying data solutions to different business domains.

Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Diveport, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
