Civil Engineer

*Must be a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Alabama.

*Length of assignment, 6-7 years.

Seeking an experienced and qualified Licensed Civil Engineer to oversee and manage construction inspection for all work related to the project. This role is critical to ensuring compliance, quality, and independence in inspection activities throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the lead authority on all construction inspection activities for the project.

Maintain a full-time, on-site presence throughout the construction phase.

Operate independently of the Design-Builder and any individuals or parties responsible for construction activities.

Ensure compliance with established quality standards and procedures.

Review and assess construction practices and materials to maintain quality and safety.

Document inspection outcomes and communicate findings with project stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Alabama.

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an independent quality role.

Proven experience on projects within the past five years.

Strong understanding of construction inspection practices and regulatory standards.

Ability to work autonomously and maintain impartiality from construction teams.

Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Prior experience working with IQFs and IQMs.

Familiarity with large-scale infrastructure or design-build projects.

Proficiency in construction inspection software and reporting tools.
