MS Azure Engineer

Introduction:

TechTrend is currently seeking a talented MS Azure Engineer to pave the way for one of our government clients towards a state-of-the-art digital transformation process that focuses around hybrid cloud technologies using the Microsoft Azure Cloud. The MS Azure Engineer should have hands-on experience in the designing, architecting and implementing of cloud services. The candidate should also have experience in MS Azure cloud security/governance including subscription design, resource groups, and RBAC policies. An in-depth understanding of authentication and authorization services is also required: SAML, LDAP, AD, and ADFS.

Candidate must be a US citizen or US permanent resident.

AZ-305 Certification is a must.

Responsibilities

· Gather Initial Requirements

· Develop Milestones and Sub-task plan

· Develop initial Architecture and engineering design plan

· Develop initial access method and implementation plan for governance model that will dictate role-based access

· Develop baseline for deliverables to include; Network access, Restriction of internet facing resources within cloud platform, provision and configure computer resources within Azure and complete project final acceptance (sign-off)

Technical Requirements

· Architect Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS offerings in commercial tenant

· Develop Application Insights or Operations Management Suite (OMS)

· Produce Azure Resource Templates, Policies and Governance Plans

· Map Azure Active Directory to the organization AD

· Hybrid Cloud Environment Support and knowledge transfer

· Recommend proposed security and patch updates as they become available

· Day to day activities related to managing and maintaining compute resources within Azure Tennant

· Deploy web and service-based applications in Windows/Linux environments per mandated by the Government

· Create development and testing environments from on-premises to cloud-based

· Deploy highly-available, scalable, and secure applications within Azure tenant

· Provide a working model of Azure Resource Manager

· Communicate and work in a DevOps environment with teams, managers, business units and stakeholders.

· Automate manual tasks using PowerShell scripts
