RF Design Engineer III

Position: RF Design Engineer II

Location: Wallingford, CT (Hybrid)

We are seeking a skilled RF Design Engineer II to support ongoing wireless network design and optimization efforts. This is a hybrid role based in Wallingford, CT, and will play a critical role in the design, documentation, and delivery of LTE/VoLTE networks.

Job Duties:

Perform RF design and optimization tasks using Samsung equipment.

Create and maintain Atoll database for all approved candidate sites.

Prepare and update RF Data Sheets, CQ/Translation documents, and plumbing diagrams.

File E911/regulatory submissions as needed.

Track and manage all related project tasks, including sweeps reviews and closeout documentation.

Must-Have Skills:

Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of relevant experience in RF Design & Optimization.

Prior experience with AT&T, Verizon, or Samsung highly preferred.

Solid understanding of RF theory and LTE/VoLTE technologies.

Strong hands-on experience with ATOLL and RF design tools.

Experience creating and updating RF data sheets, plumbing diagrams, CQ (Customer Questionnaires), and E911 filings.

Previous exposure to network sweeps and post-deployment validations.

Clear documentation of project responsibilities and accomplishments on resume.

Desired Skills:

Expert knowledge of propagation modeling tools such as Atoll, Planet EV.

Understanding of LTE KPIs and key parameters.

Familiarity with RF tools such as MapInfo, post-processing software, and MS Office suite.

Scripting experience in SQL, VB, or other automation tools a plus.

Strong Excel skills including VB macros and data manipulation.

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Leadership and stakeholder engagement experience is a plus.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Minimum 7 years of experience in the telecommunications or cellular industry.
