Dimensional Tooling Engineer (80-100K+)

We are seeking a Dimensional Tooling Engineer for an aerospace and industrial casting manufacturer in the Central New York area. As the Tooling Engineer you will play a key role in supporting production and new product development by ensuring dimensional accuracy and tooling quality for complex investment cast components.

Key Duties:

Lead tool and die development, including shrink factor analysis, gaging, and support fixtures.

Drive dimensional quality improvements across the casting process using statistical methods and Six Sigma tools.

Collaborate with tooling vendors and internal teams to develop robust manufacturing processes.

Interpret detailed blueprints, customer specs, and 3D models (NX preferred).

Conduct process capability studies (SPC, Gage R&R), and assist in cost-reduction initiatives.

Develop and document best practices for investment casting operations.

Education and Experience:

BS in Engineering.

3–5+ years of experience in investment casting, tooling design, and CAD modeling (NX a plus).

Strong understanding of GD&T, root cause analysis, and dimensional control.
