Job Title: Reliability Engineer

Overview: DSJ Global is currently partnered with a specialty chemical manufacturing company who is looking to add a Reliability Engineer to their team in Douglas, GA. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to provide day-to-day leadership and expertise in reliability engineering activities that evaluate and improve the reliability of equipment, components, and processes using engineering methodologies and tools.
As the Reliability Engineer you will:
Own of the site Mechanical Integrity program. Ensures that Predictive & Preventative maintenance programs are in place and completed by their scheduled due dates.
Align people, resources, and methods with the critical objectives for reliability in product design standards and operational goals.
Develop capacity for analysis, testing, and measurements that produce effective risk-based failure mitigation plans and actionable proposals for new or revised equipment designs, manufacturing processes, and testing specifications.
Lead the utilization of instrumentation and automation technology to increase the overall equipment effectiveness and reliability, increase production unit availability, reduce maintenance activities, and lower overall total maintenance costs.
Maintain and modify existing process control applications and operator interface systems.
Identify and install new applications and interfaces to increase process safety, operability, and profitability.
Provide process control support during project development, installation, and startup.
Assist the maintenance and production teams with troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Work collaboratively with site personnel to develop, design and ensure the reliability and maintainability of equipment.
Develop a life cycle asset management program for instrumentation and field mounted control elements
Work with the process engineers and production team members to identify and implement new instrumentation and control strategies to increase product yields, reduce energy usage and optimize the value of products.
Coach and mentor operations and technical personnel on the concepts and use of various forms of instrumentation technology.
Generate and champion new Industrial Automation improvement projects which enhance unit operation, effectiveness, quality, or operability.
Design and development of loop sheets, equipment control wiring diagrams, and motor control circuitry
Develop control system architecture and estimated costs for a site centralized control room and support project execution.
Role Qualifications:
BS Degree in Engineering
3+ years of experience showcasing positive reliability and mechanical integrity improvements
Chemical manufacturing experience preferred
