As we expand our presence in the US, we are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong understanding of BESS technology to join our team.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer / Mechatronic Engineer - BESS to lead the design, construction, and optimization of our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) production line. This role combines expertise in manufacturing engineering, mechatronics, automation, and project management, with a focus on PLC systems, robotics, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing large-scale production line builds, working collaboratively across teams, and ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards in the energy storage industry. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, innovative professional with a passion for energy technology and a proven ability to lead complex technical projects to successful completion.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the build, setup, and commissioning of the BESS production line, from initial design through to full operational capacity.

Manage and coordinate teams of engineers, technicians, and contractors, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, focusing on efficiency, safety, cost-effectiveness, and product quality.

Develop and integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components of BESS, including PLC programming, SCADA systems, and HMI interfaces.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives, implementing lean manufacturing and automation techniques to reduce waste and enhance productivity.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real-time during the build and optimization of the production line.

Develop and maintain detailed documentation for production processes, equipment, technical specifications, and SOPs.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and quality control requirements throughout production.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Required Skills:

8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, mechatronics, or automation.

Proven experience leading large-scale production line builds, including hands-on expertise in Siemens PLC systems and SCADA systems.

Experience with robotics systems, particularly in pick-and-place operations, and automated measuring equipment.

Experience with process optimization techniques, including lean manufacturing, and conducting .

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

Strong project management skills, with the ability to drive project timelines and ensure quality standards are met.

Effective communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

FMEA assessments.
