Project Manager - Subcontractor - Data Centers

About the Company:

A fast-growing Electrical Subcontractor specializing in mission-critical facilities, with a proven track record in the design, installation, and commissioning of complex electrical systems for hyperscale and colocation data centers.

Position Overview:

An experienced Project Manager with a strong background in electrical contracting and a successful history of managing large-scale data center construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, outstanding leadership skills, and a proactive, solution-driven mindset to help deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all phases of electrical work for data center construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout

Manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, and manpower planning

Collaborate closely with General Contractors, Owners, and internal teams including engineering, field staff, and estimators

Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards

Monitor project performance and proactively address any challenges or risks

Provide leadership and support to field personnel and subcontractors

Conduct project meetings, manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders

Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company in a professional manner

Qualifications:

5+ years of project management experience in electrical construction

Proven experience managing data center or other mission-critical facility builds

Strong understanding of NEC, electrical systems, and construction sequencing

Excellent communication, organizational, and team leadership skills

Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents

Proficient in project management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.)

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred

Willingness to travel within Texas as needed
