Hardware Design Engineer

Title: PCB Design Engineer – Contract – Portland, OR (Hybrid)

Summary:

Join a small, innovative engineering team working on cutting-edge hardware projects with real autonomy and impact. We're looking for a mid-to-senior level PCB Design Engineer to take ownership of an existing project and run with it. This is a contract role based in Portland, OR with some initial on-site work to build trust and rhythm with the team. You’ll step into a high-responsibility role that requires minimal oversight and lots of self-direction.

Requirements:

Hands-on experience designing circuit boards and PCBs from concept to completion

Strong Altium proficiency – schematics, layouts, documentation, and part selection

Proven ability to independently drive hardware projects, ideally with some product ownership experience

Able to jump into an existing design and take over with minimal guidance

Excellent communicator and easy to work with – someone who builds trust quickly
