Litigation Paralegal - Law Firm - HYBRID
Center City Philadelphia - Full Time - Direct-Hire

A highly regarded and well-established law firm in Center City Philadelphia is actively seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Defense Paralegal to join its dynamic legal team on a HYBRID work schedule. Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive support to attorneys handling insurance defense cases, from initial case intake through trial preparation, including drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
Prepare, serve, and organize discovery requests and responses in both state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Manage medical record retrieval and summarization, expert reports, and other evidence required for case preparation.
Communicate effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, medical professionals, witnesses, and opposing counsel, ensuring all relevant information is gathered and deadlines are met.
Assist with the preparation of trial materials, including summarizing depositions, preparing exhibit lists, and organizing witness appearances.
Schedule medical examinations, court appearances, and meetings, ensuring coordination between clients, experts, and attorneys.
Accurately maintain case files, ensuring all documents are properly organized, Bates-stamped, and accessible for attorneys and other team members.
Desired Qualifications:
A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in litigation.
Proficiency in e-filing in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state and federal courts and familiarity with relevant legal research platforms.
Strong working knowledge of the insurance defense litigation process, including preparing discovery, managing case files, and supporting trial preparation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders including clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court staff.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases and competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Demonstrated experience with Case Management Software and NetDocuments
Ability to handle Billing Functions and Calendar Management tasks
Strong Client Relations and Communication skills
Knowledge and experience in Insurance Defense Litigation and/or Civil Litigation, inclduing Plaintiff side
Organizing Files efficiently and systematically
Experience in Preparing Pleadings, Exhibits, and Draft Letters
Understanding of Civil Law, Insurance Defense, and Insurance Law
Familiarity with Litigation, including Civil, Defense, Plaintiff, Personal Injury Plaintiffs, and Personal Injury Defense
Proficient in e-File, e-Discovery, e-Filing, and Court Filing processes
Knowledge of Accident Benefits and ability to Draft Documents and Draft Correspondence
Experience working in a Law Office or Law Practice environment
Solid Legal Knowledge and ability to provide Litigation - Support & Document Services
Insurance understanding and experience is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Paralegal certification or a related degree is a plus.
