Job Title: Electrical Validation Engineer - Camera Hardware
Location: Cupertino, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ months contract with potential for extension
Rate Range: $60-62/hr on W2
Job Summary:
The Camera Hardware Engineering group is responsible for the design, development, test, and innovation of camera hardware for all related products.
Our target is to deliver superior camera hardware to enable best-in-class camera user experience.
Major responsibilities:
Evaluate new camera technology robustness to RF noise.
Build up and own RF susceptibility characterization methodology and SOP.
Define electromagnetic validation plan and test cases for camera sub-system, modules and components.
Conduct EM characterization, measure thresholds for failure modes, analyze image data, and provide feedback to design team for design improvements .
Interact with x-functional teams for in-system integration and performance test (e.g de-sense, co-existence) failure analysis and solution implementation.
Key Qualifications:
2+ years relevant experience.
Familiarity with embedded systems and related RF/coexistence challenges.
Great EE fundamentals and excellent problem solving skills.
Comfortable with EE test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator, etc.)
Experience with scripting languages, Python or Matlab, for instrumentation automation and data collection/analysis.
Knowledge of high speed interfaces (e.g MIPI, LVDS, DisplayPort), power supplies (Linear & switching ), and their relationships to de-sense / co-existence.
Capable of managing multiple projects in parallel.
Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Preferred skillset
Knowledge of image sensors and camera module hardware
Cellular/Wireless awareness: 5G, LTE, BT, WiFi, UWB, NFC, etc.
Knowledge of CST or Ansys EM simulation tools
Proficient user of AutoCAD & Cadence
