Primary Services is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable HR & Onboarding Coordinator to join our internal team. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end standard onboarding process, supporting payroller onboardings during high-volume periods, and providing key backup support for HR functions during staff absences. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and eager to grow their HR experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding Support
Manage and facilitate standard new hire onboardings from offer acceptance through day one readiness
Assist with payroller onboardings during overflow periods
Send background check request forms using Adobe Sign and run background screenings through ASAP
Ensure compliance with onboarding documentation, deadlines, and system updates
General HR Support
Assist with employee terminations, starting with entry-level separations and expanding to more complex offboarding as experience increases
Coordinate employee engagement efforts such as birthday and work anniversary shout outs
Backup Support During Leave Coverage (Temporary coverage during colleague leave)
Respond to and track Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) claims and hearings
Monitor and track FMLA leaves and documentation
Assist with lower-level, non-escalated employee relations issues, escalating as needed
Qualifications:
1–2 years of HR or administrative experience preferred
Experience with onboarding processes, background screenings, and HR systems is a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Sign
