Base Salary: $100,000- $125,000
Summary:
We're currently partnered with a leading recycled paper manufacturer looking expand its team of Electrical Engineers! As an Electrical Engineer, you'll to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical systems in their state-of-the-art pulp and paper mill. In this role, you'll collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to enhance equipment performance, minimize downtime, and drive efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems, motors, drives, switch gear, transformers, and power distribution.
Support and maintain PLC/DCS control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell).
Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability.
Work closely with operations to optimize power consumption and electrical efficiency.
Assist with automation and instrumentation troubleshooting.
Lead or support capital projects, system upgrades, and new installations.
Ensure adherence to OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and industry best practices.
Conduct arc flash analysis and electrical safety training.
Maintain accurate schematics, documentation, and compliance records.
Requirements:
5+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment (pulp & paper preferred).
Strong troubleshooting skills with PLCs, DCS, VFDs, and motor controls.
Experience with power distribution, load calculations, and energy efficiency improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
