Process Engineer – Manufacturing Vandalia, IL

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer in Vandalia, IL. This individual will play a key role in driving process efficiency, supporting production operations, and leading continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement process controls to support safety, quality, and production targets
Lead manufacturing improvement projects aimed at reducing variability and enhancing product quality
Provide real-time technical support to production teams
Conduct capability studies, statistical analysis, and process validation activities
Collaborate on Design for Manufacturability initiatives with product engineering teams
Manage and maintain critical process documentation, including FMEAs, control plans, and work instructions
Support equipment integration and engineering change implementation
Ensure ongoing CQI-12 compliance and implement robust error-proofing systems
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent technical experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in rubber molding is preferred, or a related manufacturing environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with PLC/CNC controls (Allen Bradley, Omron preferred)
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Exposure to chemical coating/treatment processes is a plus
