Position: TS & AD Engineer

Location: Houston, TX (Ability to travel up to 10%)

Pay: $120,000/year + Bonus!

Experience:

4 to 7 years of experience in an industrial setting in a technical service role.

Proven experience collaborating with sales, marketing, and operations to resolve customer issues and grow relationships.

Education: B.S. degree or higher in Polymer Science & Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical.

ProRecruiters is seeking a Technical Service & Application Development (TS & AD) Engineer to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

Interface with existing customers and prospects alongside the sales team, including verbal and written communication, presentations, and collaboration.

Provide superior customer service and technical recommendations through testing, prototyping, data analysis, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Thoroughly understand technical offerings and translate them into valuable solutions for customers through experimentation, testing, research, and problem-solving.

Manage the Technical Service Request pipeline efficiently and effectively.

Benchmark and evaluate competitive technologies.

Generate professional reports and technical documentation of completed work.

Utilize hands-on analytical tools to characterize plastics, including FTIR, Instron, particle size analysis, microscopy, etc.

Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to support current and new business opportunities.

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the B&S sales division.

Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders, both internally and externally, using appropriate discretion and technical accuracy.

Partner with company leadership to cultivate a strong, innovation-driven culture.

Author technical reports for internal training, external communication, and knowledge sharing.

Establish industry credibility through technical publications and conference presentations.

Position Requirements:

Experience in plastics and materials, with added value through plastic processes; blow-molding preferred.

Strong knowledge of plastics processing and application development.

Skilled in experimental design, lab testing, and problem-solving.

Proficient with analytical tools and ASTM standards.

Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.

Strong communicator with proven customer interaction ability.

Data-driven, organized, and self-motivated.

Team-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset and high integrity.
