Responsibilities:
Program and optimize CNC toolpaths using Mastercam for horizontal and 5-axis milling machines.
Interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints to translate design intent into precise CNC programs.
Set up and operate CNC machinery to validate new programs and support production needs.
Manufacture intricate components, tools, and plastic injection mold parts using advanced CNC equipment.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives and contribute to Post-Mortem process reviews.
Perform high-precision machining operations on a variety of metals and plastics.
Apply advanced math and GD&T principles to meet stringent tolerance and quality requirements.
Mentor and guide junior machinists, serving as a technical lead on the shop floor.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and, when required, with customers to ensure alignment on technical objectives.
May serve as a Lead, directing the work of other machinists as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational goals.
Requirements:
Minimum 10+ years of CNC programming experience, with a focus on horizontal and 5-axis milling machines
Minimum 15+ years of hands-on machinist experience, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting
Expert-level proficiency in Mastercam for toolpath creation and optimization (required)
Strong working knowledge of GD&T and engineering blueprint interpretation
Solid understanding of CAD/CAM integration and manufacturing workflows
Proven problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills across cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead junior machinists and act as a technical resource on the shop floor
