Electrical and Controls Engineer

OZ Engineering is a well-established, locally-known, specialized consulting firm focusing on technology solutions for utilities, cities, and counties. Established in 2000, OZ Engineering is at the forefront of automation in water, wastewater, and transportation industries. OZ Engineering is located in Tempe, Arizona with clients in the states of Arizona, Nevada, and California.

We are seeking an Electrical and Controls Engineer to provide support for long-term water and wastewater projects. In this position, the applicant will play a lead role in the design and delivery of electrical, SCADA and process control solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop Electrical, Instrumentation and Control system design documents including single lines, plan views, conduit block diagrams, control schematics, process & instrumentation diagrams, and specifications.

Design communication solutions involving process instrumentation and control systems and linking communication devices.

Work independently from concepts and control strategies to program PLC, RTU, and DCS Controller programs.

Configure SCADA and PCS master station database, alarms, historical log files, trends, and HMI based graphic displays.

Develop and/or conduct field investigations and surveys, factory acceptance testing, and field testing, checkout, and startup of process instrumentation and control systems.

Lead efforts to diagnose and resolve field I&C problems.

Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering or Engineering Technology. P.E. registration in Arizona preferred.

5+ years experience in design and implementation of DCS, SCADA, PLC-based systems or ITS planning and development.
