Position: Pharma Scheduler – Capital Projects
Location: Gwynedd, PA. area & North Carolina Project Site (Raleigh/Greenville area) - some work in PA and some in NC

Position Summary:
The Spear Group has an opportunity for an experienced pharma industry Scheduler to be part of an exciting life sciences project in the Gwynedd, Pennsylvania area in combination with the site location in North Carolina (Raleigh/Greenville area). This Scheduler on-site project controls professional is an owner’s side Scheduler and supports the pharma owner’s side project controls, planning, and scheduling team.
The project controls team is a key component of a highly integrated project delivery team working to deliver top-tier biopharma facilities. The role will support a multi-million-dollar manufacturing & laboratory/cleanroom project and will interface with all phases of project execution supporting as an owner’s representative overseeing the scheduling efforts executed in conjunction with the Owner and EPCM firm interacting with various pharma project SME professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Scheduling support with collaborative team focus driven to support planning requirements including all phases from project inception through qualification. The position requires being a self-starter while communicating with all stakeholders to provide planning deliverables as necessary.
PLANNING/SCHEDULING responsibilities are to develop, maintain, and report the Master Project Schedule utilizing LEAN project management methodologies per (The Lean Construction Institute) and other industry software standards (TAKT, Last Planner System, Pull Planning, Primavera®). Manage Schedule Progress Measurement/Percent Plan Complete (PPC) and variance analysis and ensure changes are captured in Project Schedule.
Illustrate experience with all aspects of project execution by enabling interactive planning sessions to drive team participation in overall project plan. Focus on individual disciplines, trades and inter-relations of same that shape project completion and success.
Provide PROJECT CONTROL support to prepare monthly Project Control reporting deliverables and assist in establishing approved cash flow and tracking. Interface with CM Project Control personnel to ensure timely communication and support of project reporting requirements. Support Project Procurement Group requirements related to Project Control.
Demonstrate LEADERSHIP and excellent COMMUNICATION and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with all levels in the organization, particularly with FEL and EPCM Partners to ensure understanding of planning/scheduling requirements and continuous improvement of processe0s; in a Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) environment. Possess leadership skills necessary to transform and sustain a high performing group of technical professionals. Drive planning development and attend recurring and non-recurring project related meetings as required.
Display KNOWLEDGE of the pharmaceutical industry across multiple product types (drug substance, drug product, lab, large molecule, small molecule, etc.). EXPERIENCE in strategic planning/scheduling and Lean Project Delivery Best Practices (e.g. Target Value Delivery, Last Planner®, Takt planning, Touchplan®, NetPoint®) is a significant plus, along with knowledge of AE, CM, and Professional Service providers planning/scheduling means and methods.
Required Experience and Education:
5+ years of experience in scheduling and project control functions.
Experience with Life Sciences / Pharma / BioPharma Capital Projects
Proficiency in MSOffice and Primavera® / P6.
Working knowledge of Target Value Delivery, Last Planner®, Takt planning, Touchplan®, NetPoint® is a significant a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering or related
A plus - PMP certified, Lean construction knowledge
