The team identifies acquisition targets, controls costs, minimizes risk, exploits development opportunities, and optimizes the portfolio by strategically divesting assets when the market dictates.

Job Description:

Urban is looking for a highly capable, self-motivated candidate to join the team. As a petroleum engineer, the candidate will be involved in every aspect of the business and will be able to directly contribute to the success of Urban.

Key Responsibilities:

Work alongside the corporate and field teams to maximize the value of assets

Monitor production performance and conduct reservoir surveillance to develop action plans

Prepare field development plans and capital projects

Prepare and manage well completion/workover programs

Implement and manage multi-step projects

Assist in preparing budgets and managing the property financials

Identify and implement production optimization and cost reduction projects

Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a preference in Petroleum Engineering

Maintain and evaluate data that leads to good technical and financial decisions

Proven work ethic

Ability to clearly convey practical concepts and relevant information in oral presentations

Ability to work independently and take ownership

Strong communication skills

Ability to handle multiple projects

2-3 years of experience
