Responsible for using Solidworks and associated software to generate the shop paperwork per the Engineering build scheduler, including drawings and work instructions.

Generate Solidworks designs & drawings for orders of CDI products in a timely fashion including 3D, break-sheet, engineering paperwork

Create basic 3D drawings for new opportunities

Review of completed jobs to ensure CDI Design Standards are being followed & customer dimensions are correct.

Contact customers to acquire missing information when required

Strive for continuous improvement by working on ways to make job duties easier, faster, or better value to CDI

Requirements

Solidworks certification or practical experience using Sheet metal, parts and assemblies

CAD Drafting – 2D, Solid modeling, Assembly, Part Drawings, detailing, dimensioning

Basic mechanical drafting standards

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Strong technical aptitude – Able to read and generate 3D drawings.

Able to create drawings from sketches and concept discussions.

Strong written & oral communication skills.

Able to interface with internal and external customers

Organized, on target, on time and goal oriented

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Solidworks certification or practical experience using Sheet metal, parts and assemblies
