The Database Administration Analyst Il position utilizes a third party content management tool to organize a complex product portfolio database. Content consists of uniquely branded product that includes models, published datacodes and descriptions, along with the associated compatibility rules, prices and weights. This information is published and distributed via our in-house DTNA Truck Configuration sales tool for dealer salespeople to spec and sell Freightliner and Western Star products.
As a Database Administration Analyst, you will administer database utilities, monitor the relationships between the database users and applications, and maintain the organization's databases across multiple platforms and computing environments. Apply the understanding of relational database concepts and query languages in order to design required summary or aggregation tables to support analysis. Collaborate with technology/infrastructure staff to analyze and resolve issues related to information flow and content. Maintain database support tools, prepare weekly XML to support department macros, trouble shoot common issues with Contenta and support team members with any questions.

Position offers a starting salary range of $95,000.00- $121,000.00 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
Administers database utilities, monitors the relationships between the database users and applications, and maintains the organization's databases across multiple platforms and computing environments
Collaborates with IT staff to identify/resolve system issues and take the lead on any Contenta upgrades or system maintenance.
Prepare weekly XML to support daily macos/tools in addition to our yearly Price Level updates along with setting up Contenta for new Products/Models by working with IT/Marketing/Pricing to set up the new naming convention and new model ID’s
Install Contenta/XMetal on new hire computers or upgrades.
Have the ability to trouble shoot common issues with Contenta (link manger not working, missing toolbars, license clearing), provide support to team members, resolve hidden ID’s and resend missing price ID’s.
Run and operate AI tool refresh to ensure macros translate correctly.
Analyze the daily compatibility change report to determine if there are changes that need to be implemented into SpecPro
Extract and transform data from various sources including IMS, Excel, and PowerPoint. Load and maintain transformed data into a content management tool and product definition databases that supports and structures DTNA’s product offerings in the marketplace.
Drive continuous improvements in our product definition content, tools, and work flow processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration with the following teams: Pricing, Customer Application Engineering, Engineering Compatibility, SpecPro, Platform Strategy, Marketing Strategy.
Knowledge You Should Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Data Administration, or related field, and 2-4 years of relevant experience, required
Proficiency in database management system
Strong understanding of relation database tables
Skilled in writing and optimizing SQL queries

Exceptional Candidates Might Have
Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and communicating technical details clearly
Intermediate-level experience with JavaScript, ability to write and troubleshoot scripts for automation
Understanding of version control, to manage and track changes or updates to scripts (GitHub)
Knowledge of security best practices (database access management and compliance standards)
Familiarity with Oracle databases and related tools
Experience with a Content Management System (CMS) or Integrated Management System (IMS)
Working in a truck or other manufacturing environment
Experience using Service Now
