Job Title: Enterprise Architect

Plateau GRP is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Enterprise Architect to lead the development, integration, and maintenance of enterprise-level systems, applications, security protocols, and network configurations in support of Army applications hosted in cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in cloud architecture (GovCloud), virtualization, cybersecurity, and Department of Defense (DoD) compliance frameworks. This position plays a key role in ensuring robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure for mission-critical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise architecture for systems, applications, security, and network infrastructure supporting Army cloud operations.
Plan and implement comprehensive network and system security measures, including:
Firewall configurations
Cryptographic solutions
Host security enforcement
File system integrity and access control
User account provisioning and deprovisioning
Act as subject matter expert (SME) for:
GovCloud environments
Virtualization technologies
Windows and Linux Operating Systems
MS SQL Server
NIPRNET/Internet connectivity
Interface and troubleshoot system and security issues with:
DISA GCDS
Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER)
CSSPs
Akamai
Cloud Service Providers (CSPs)
Direct future technical architecture decisions, including cloud migration strategies and enhancements to cloud-hosted datacenter operations.
Exercise and maintain Continuity of Operations (COOP) capabilities in GovCloud environments.
Develop and present integrated architecture products using DoDAF standards, including:
Graphical
Textual
Tabular artifacts
Use tools such as MS Visio and/or Sparx Systems for architectural documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems engineering, and IT infrastructure, particularly within DoD environments.
Demonstrated experience managing secure, cloud-based systems supporting Army or DoD applications.
Strong working knowledge of:
DoDAF architecture framework
GovCloud operations
Virtualization platforms
Windows/Linux system administration
Cloud network security practices
Proven ability to lead architecture strategy, perform systems integration, and ensure system continuity and compliance in high-security environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications in cloud architecture or enterprise systems (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF).
Experience designing and supporting Army enterprise systems such as TAMIS, GCSS-A, or other logistics and operational platforms.
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure CI/CD pipelines.
