About Us
Reframe Systems is on a mission to build fast, cost-efficient, and climate-resilient homes for everyone. Through our modular building platform and highly automated production process, we reduce costs, shorten delivery times, and lower embodied carbon for housing projects of all sizes—from single-family homes to large multifamily developments. Our first software-driven factory in the greater Boston area (Andover, MA) is just the beginning of our national expansion. Backed by leading venture capital firms in the industrial and construction sectors, we are transforming how homes are built.
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer focused on rapidly developing and validating robotic workflows using BehaviorTree.CPP. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams of roboticists, architects, and engineers to design, prototype, and implement efficient workflows for manipulation tasks in our automated microfactory. This role offers a unique opportunity to directly influence and streamline the software-driven processes shaping the future of industrialized construction.
Responsibilities
Design, prototype, and implement robust robotic workflows using BehaviorTree.CPP, driving our manipulation workcells from concept to production.
Rapidly develop, test, and iterate hypotheses through experimentation and data-driven validation.
Document findings and champion successful workflows within cross-functional teams.
Collaborate closely on the integration and deployment of new robotic processes in real-world manufacturing environments.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of workflow development practices, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in software development, robotics, or automation workflow engineering.
Advanced proficiency in C++17 and Python, specifically in Linux-based environments using ROS 2 and BehaviorTree.CPP.
Strong experience implementing professional engineering best practices (Git, code reviews, coding standards, CI/CD, automated testing).
Proven track record of quickly prototyping and deploying reliable workflows into production environments.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
Self-driven and capable of independently solving complex technical problems.
Bonus
Experience developing and maintaining automated robotic workflows in production environments.
Familiarity with key libraries and tools in our stack, including Tesseract, Foxglove, OpenCV, PCL, and GTest/GMock.
Experience with containerization (Docker), cloud services (AWS), or development environments (VSCode).
Preferred BS/MS degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM fields.
If you don’t meet every qualification but are excited about our mission, we still encourage you to apply. We value diverse skills and perspectives.
