Developmental Pathways (DP) is looking for a dynamic Human Resources Generalist (HRG) to join our team and play a key role in coordinating, administering, and enhancing HR policies, programs, and procedures. In this role, the HRG will contribute across several key areas, including onboarding, employee engagement, accommodations, HR-specific training, and employee services. This role will help foster a positive work environment while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with relevant statutes and policies. The HRG will support day-to-day HR operations but also will take the lead on special projects that drive innovation and continuous improvement within the department.

This role offers a 4-day, 40-hour work week, Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, and includes the flexibility to work remotely, as well as the opportunity to collaborate in-person at our headquarters office in Aurora, CO, and/or at off-site locations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree

Two (2) years of experience in human resources in lieu of degree will be accepted

One (1) year of professional human resources experience

Functional knowledge of HR related best practices, including but not limited to FLSA, DOL, ADA, EEO, FMLA, STD/LTD, with a strong ability to also accurately interpret and apply organizational procedures, rules, and regulations

Preferred

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification

Two (2)+ years of experience working in People Strategies

Three (3) years working in a nonprofit environment and/or I/DD field

Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate

Valid Colorado motor vehicle license and proof of motor vehicle insurance

Ability to meet our driving requirements - no suspensions/ no more than two tickets in the past three years

Upon request, qualifying need, and approval, driving requirements may be waived in lieu of reliable transportation.

Additional Responsibilities

Collaborate to support in the scope, intent, and application of policies, procedures, and or state and federal regulations related to the employment lifecycle

Proactively maintain working knowledge of relevant organizational policies and past practices, collaborating with stakeholders to maintain the accuracy of all HR policies and procedures

Support the development of HR related strategies and ensure implementation and execution

Frequently demonstrate skills in exhibiting sound and accurate judgement; can clearly and concisely explain reasoning for decisions, and include appropriate people in the decision-making process

Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining positive interpersonal relationships by listening attentively to ideas and concerns

Support management in the review and editing of frequently used reference materials, such as but not limited to the personnel policies, resources, and or organizational guides

Create grammatically and logically organized documents, such as letters, emails, memos, polices, and resource guides reflecting timely and accurate information, as well as the ability to vary communication styles to meet the needs of a given audience

Support employees regarding leaves, accommodation requests, unemployment situations, and other related employee services

Work with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) stakeholders to ensure goals are being met

Support the execution of disciplinary action plans and provide consultation as necessary. Consult with managers on effective people management strategies
