Extrusion Operator

**JOB SUMMARY

**:

This role oversees all production equipment with essential duties that include start-up and operation of heavy machinery. In this role, you will ensure that all machinery is running efficiently, producing quality products, and complete minor mechanical work.

**JOB DUTIES:

**

Consistently and safely operate thermoforming machines at or above standard operating levels, including safety, quality, efficiency, scrap, and utilization. This includes packing the finished product into bags and boxes.

Troubleshoot, identify, and correct machine-related problems through proper adjustments to various machine parts.

Provide innovative solutions for production issues.

Provide support and guidance to less experienced personnel.

Complete appropriate end-of-shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities.

Inspect and recognize defective products and make machine adjustments to correct the cause of defects.

Observe all housekeeping, standard work, and safety guidelines.

**REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

**

Qualified candidates will have 1-year of experience in a fast-paced production environment with some mechanical knowledge of industrial systems.

Complete required training/documentation to be a B – Operator within the specified time frame.

Mechanical aptitude, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and effective communication skills - written and verbal are required.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to stand on your feet and work for an entire 12 hour shifts
