Description
DESCRIPTION
This position works independently to process materials in the Shredding facility and provides training to technicians in training (clients). This is a physical job requiring the ability to lift and move full containers and twist, bend, and stand for long periods of time. This position also serves as a backup for Shredding Drivers (CSRs) in completing service routes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated ability to give clear instructions in an encouraging tone
Demonstrated ability to monitor activity and take corrective action
Knowledge of disabilities and how the workforce may be impacted
Able to maintain security of confidential information and follow security protocols
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50lbs. and use assistive equipment to move materials
Ability to drive a large, automatic transmission box truck
Ability to problem-solve when faced with unexpected situations
Experience working with people with disabilities preferred
Ability to complete in-house training in CPR, First Aid, and MANDT
Able to use an online program to enter documentation on a training participants progress
Must pass a Criminal Background Investigation and drug screening
Must possess a valid drivers license and clean driving record and be able to maintain Class D license requirements
Able to pass a DOT medical certification with Interstate driving qualifications in accordance with the FMCSR
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work to meet daily processing goals by adjusting work flow as needed
Ensure quality control and a high level of security by following policies and procedures
Serve as a counselor to participants with the intent of encouraging good work habits and to provide the best possible work experience for rehabilitation work adjustment purposes
Maintain appropriate client documentation as deemed necessary
Complete regular, OSHA compliant, safety training
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and enforce safety regulations and work rules
Ensure that documents slated for destruction are retrieved, transferred, transported, and unloaded securely and according to schedule
Drive a box truck
Respond to all supervisory requests in a prompt and professional manner
