We are currently looking for a Full Time Clinical Informatics Coord Pharmacist to join our Clinical Informatics team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center.

Summary:

Works in the build, implementation, and maintenance of automation and technology to optimize pharmacy practice, pharmacy systems, and the medication-use process in partnership with clinicians and leaders at the Chickasaw Nation Department of Health.

May provide break coverage for others as assigned

May augment staff in other areas as needed based on staffing and needs ratio in regularly assigned unit

Maintain knowledge of and follow all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.

Test system changes to ensure they meet business requirements and do not adversely impact other areas of the Epic system

Ensures that medication-related systems support compliance with Joint Commission, Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services, and recognized pharmacy practice standards

Guides workflow design, building, and testing of the system, and analyzing requirements or other technical issues associated with Epic software

Identifies, implements, completes integrated testing, and communicates requested changes to the Epic system

Works with Epic representatives and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs regarding the project deliverables and timeline

Partners with quality, operational, and business leaders on system design and optimization to meet quality, safety, financial, and efficiency needs

Collects requirements regarding potential system enhancements or new system implementation and prepares details of specifications needed; prioritizes and implements requested changes to the system

Completes integrated testing to test system changes in all Epic environments to ensure that they meet business requirements and do not adversely impact other areas of the system

Stays current on Epic application releases and participates in upgrade planning and testing

Demonstrates understanding of and engages with the governance structure as it pertains to assigned work with little or no supervision

Works in the build, implementation, integration, and maintenance of automation and technology to assure the safe and appropriate use of medications

Provides support to the medical staff for drug utilization data gathering and analysis

Understands the daily operations of both the inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings

Assists pharmacy leadership in the advancement of pharmacy automation and technology
