We are seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager (Contractor) to lead and coordinate ERP implementation projects in a fully remote, no-travel role. The ideal candidate has a strong background in ERP project management—preferably with manufacturing industry clients—and is comfortable working across multiple platforms. While experience with any ERP system is welcome, this role will primarily support Acumatica and Odoo implementations. This is a part-time contract position requiring a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, offering flexibility in scheduling and a collaborative virtual environment. This could be up to 40 hours and could turn to a permanent role if desired.
Responsibilities
Maintain overall control of the project schedule, budget, and scope.
Plan, organize, lead, and monitor the activities of the project team.
Build detailed project plans and allocate appropriate resources.
Ensure project deliverables and work products align with approved requirements.
Coordinate availability of necessary resources to execute all project activities.
Prepare and utilize project management deliverables to guide execution.
Communicate open issues and provide resolution recommendations to the Client Steering Committee and Project Manager.
Maintain consistent communication with the Client Project Manager on project progress.
Track deliverable status and decisions related to project change requests and outstanding issues.
Ensure all commitments and scope changes are negotiated and agreed upon with relevant stakeholders.
Update documentation and project plans for approved change requests to reflect new requirements or scope.
Collaborate with Professional Services Managers on customer engagement and satisfaction.
Partner with the Professional Services Team to ensure successful solution delivery and consulting outcomes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Note:
Some functional (ERP consulting) responsibilities may be included to increase utilization, though the primary focus is project management. These may include:
Successful implementation of practical business solutions using industry best practices.
Facilitation of Acumatica implementation and support.
Design, configuration, and testing of core Acumatica modules (e.g., finance, projects, manufacturing).
Conduct business requirements gathering and fit/gap analysis.
Convert business needs into functional specifications and design documentation.
Communicate effectively across all mediums and organizational levels.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, MIS, or a related field preferred.
3–5+ years of ERP project management experience required.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or distribution software implementations preferred.
Proven track record of successful software project deployments.
PMP certification preferred, or willingness to obtain it within the first 12 months.
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
Professional demeanor and excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical, numerical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team—must be self-directed in a remote work environment.
No travel required; occasional travel may be considered if all parties agree.
Hands-on experience with Acumatica or Odoo ERP systems (preferred)
Familiarity with both functional and technical aspects of ERP implementations (preferred)
Experience managing multiple ERP implementations across different platforms simultaneously.
Deep knowledge of both manufacturing operations and ERP best practices.
