What You’ll Be Doing
Draft clean, accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings based on wooden templates, site scans, and sketches.
Prepare detailed shop ticket packages for CNC and fabrication teams.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to resolve technical questions quickly.
Visit the shop floor regularly to ensure drawings translate clearly to fabrication.
Occasionally visit local job sites to verify templates and field details.
Create annotated photo layouts and organize scanner data for templating workflows.
Offer process improvements and ideas that drive accuracy and efficiency.
What You Bring
AutoCAD Expertise – 4–5 years of drafting experience in a fabrication or construction-related setting.
Industry Familiarity – Able to read blueprints and architectural drawings with ease.
Measurement Proficiency – Comfortable with tape measures and photo documentation tools.
Strong Communication – Can navigate conversations across engineering, shop, and field teams.
Initiative – Proactive problem solver who checks and double-checks before issues arise.
Comfort in a Shop Setting – While you won’t be machining, familiarity with shop workflows is key.
