We are searching for a Head of Deposits and Payments is a senior leadership position responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s deposit growth strategy, enhancing the customer service culture, and overseeing account operations. As a member of the Senior Management Team, this individual plays a vital role in the strategic direction of the institution, managing both in-person and digital customer experiences. The role includes developing performance standards and innovative solutions to ensure profitability and strong customer relationships, while also maintaining a forward-looking approach to evolving technologies and services in the payments and deposits landscape.
This position also involves direct oversight of back-office operations, including account processing, fraud detection, electronic banking, and inbound call response. The Head of Deposits and Payments collaborates with other departments such as Marketing and Professional Development to align service offerings with customer needs and staff growth. Additional responsibilities include analyzing market trends for rate competitiveness, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting community engagement. The role demands a balance of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and leadership to manage both people and processes effectively across all office locations.• Bachelor’s degree preferred; completion of banking school programs is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in retail banking and credit management.
• Advanced knowledge of deposits, payments, and related functions.
• Proven expertise in staff leadership, relationship building, and business development.
• Comprehensive understanding of state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with core banking systems and electronic funds transfer processes.
• Additional qualifications such as Notary Public or Medallion Guarantor are desirable.
