Job Title: Weekend Material Handler

Shift: WEEKEND SHIFT: FRI,SAT,SUN - 6:00AM-6:30PMJob Description

The Material Handler is responsible for using motorized industrial equipment to load and unload trucks, transport and locate materials, pick and put-away products, and replenish picking locations.

Responsibilities

Operate motorized industrial equipment such as sit-down fork trucks, stock pickers, and reach trucks.

Perform daily checks of equipment before operating.

Operate within standard operating procedures.

Use hand-held or truck-mounted radio frequency (RF) scanners.

Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

Maintain accurate logs or other required documentation depending on the job task being performed.

Follow work order instructions to perform assignments throughout the facility.

Follow documented procedures with accuracy.

Other duties as assigned.Essential Skills

Ability to pass the motorized industrial equipment test and obtain a license.

Capability to rotate positions/jobs as required.

Participation in department meetings and projects.

Meet safety, accuracy, productivity, and housekeeping minimum standards.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Ability to work independently.

Good math skills.

Timely and regular attendance; flexibility to work weekends if needed.

Work Environment

Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM in a non-climate controlled production environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr.
