Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team in Mequon, Wisconsin. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to support and enhance a suite of Foundry-based operational applications within the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring system reliability, driving continuous improvement, and maximizing the value of Foundry investments for the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary technical resource for Foundry-based scheduling and operational applications.
• Optimize and maintain scheduling models, data pipelines, and logic within the Foundry platform.
• Facilitate change management processes, including onboarding new users and providing stakeholder training.
• Enhance application performance, usability, and scheduling accuracy through ongoing feedback and improvements.
• Develop reusable components to support rapid scaling across various mills and product lines.
• Collaborate with IT Security, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture teams to align Foundry applications with broader IT strategies.
• Create, monitor, and refine dashboards and KPIs to track schedule adherence, throughput, and overall operational performance.
• Document solutions and processes to ensure scalability and long-term sustainability of Foundry applications.
• Work closely with developers during application rollouts and support the transition to ongoing maintenance.• Proficiency in Cisco, Citrix, and Cloud technologies.
• Strong experience with Dell and Firewall technologies.
• Expertise in Active Directory and backup solutions.
• Solid understanding of computer hardware and configuration management.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Familiarity with process documentation and system scalability principles.
• Operational awareness and a focus on long-term system health and performance.
