Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to cover for a six-month maternity leave. This fully remote, long-term contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to critical HR functions, including compliance, employee relations, and audits. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in HR systems and processes while fostering a positive workplace environment. The ideal candidate will have California Labor Law knowledge as well as multi-state experience. You will also assist with reviewing and auditing current policies and assisting with policy creation, where needed.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee employee relations efforts, ensuring compliance with labor laws and fostering a supportive work environment.

• Conduct HR audits to assess compliance with regulations and organizational policies.

• Manage benefits administration and ensure accuracy in related processes.

• Utilize HR systems, such as ADP Workforce Now.

• Support recruitment efforts by improving hiring processes and collaborating with hiring managers.

• Provide guidance on compliance standards and address labor law-related concerns.

• Develop and implement HR policies that align with organizational goals.

• Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and engagement.

• Offer strategic advice to leadership on HR matters and workforce planning.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for HR operations.• Proven experience in HR management with a focus on compliance and employee relations.

• Proficiency with HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and HCM platforms.

• Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Experience with benefits administration and hiring processes.

• Familiarity with conducting HR audits and maintaining accurate records.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
