The Electrical Project Manager will oversee all phases of complex commercial and mixed-use construction projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable execution. This role involves managing engineering deliverables, vendor coordination, field operations, and client communication while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and safety.Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a team of ~10 project staff, including 3 direct reports
Drive profitability through scope management, cost control, and strategic planning
Oversee all project phases, from scheduling and procurement to construction and closeout
Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure on-time material delivery and subcontractor alignment
Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders and clients to align expectations and deliver exceptional service
Administer contracts, negotiate change orders, and ensure all deliverables meet project and safety standards
Perform regular financial forecasting and reporting to senior leadership
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and project-specific methodologies
Provide oversight of third-party construction teams and field operationsQualifications:
Experience: Minimum 5 years as an Electrical Project Manager, with a strong track record in commercial/mixed-use construction
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management (strongly preferred)
Certifications:
Journeyman or Master Electrician License is a plus
PMP (Project Management Professional
OSHA 30-Hour Construction
NFPA 70E Training
Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of electrical power systems and engineering principles
Proficiency with take-offs, project scheduling, bid review, and contract negotiation
Familiarity with industry-standard safety protocols and compliance measures
Leadership & Soft Skills:
Proven ability to lead diverse teams and mentor junior staff
Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and decision-making under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
