SUMMARY

The Electrical Test Engineer will lead and mentor test technicians in all aspects of testing the electronics of Intergalactic's aerospace systems and components. Ensuring a high standard of test execution against system requirements, delivering and fielding quality hardware and systems., and additionally aiding the programs on all strategic, contractual, and tactical milestones from program inception to the delivery of contracted intellectual and physical products to the customer.

Expected Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

Read and accurately interpret customer requirements and design test plans, acceptance testing procedures, and qualification testing procedures to adequately prove system performance, margins of safety, durability, quality, etc.

Lead, support, and administer electronic tests and testing requirements on high-value assets/hardware. (May Include vibe, shock, TVAC, and all other MIL-Std and NASA standard testing)

Verification and validation testing.

HALT testing

Take initiative to clarify uncertainties, and in cooperation with engineering and other technical staff, resolve and/or correct issues as appropriate.

Able to operate machines, hand tools, power tools, and refrigerant equipment in an aerospace AS9100 environment.

Set up and operate a wide range of precision-calibrated electronics tools such as power supplies, oscilloscopes electronic loads, and function generators.

Support engineering with diagnosis and troubleshooting, of component level to full system level builds.

Support engineering with various component and flight vehicle checkouts, including acceptance tests.

Support payload handling and integration operations that include handling of spacecraft assemblies.

Operate material/hardware handling equipment including - but not limited to - hoists, lifts, tugs, and other ground support equipment as required.

Perform assembly and system checkouts on ground support equipment related to all program testing, including all spacecraft operations.

Support root cause analysis and implement corrective action.

Consistently apply written, verbal, listening, and visual media skills as appropriate to ensure accurate communication.

Proactively identify issues and problems and make recommendations.

Consistently take ownership of and responsibility for personal and team performance to promote continuous improvement.

Review and acknowledge internal document control, Coord Memos, SOP's.

Available to travel to testing sites, customer facilities, and testing events.

Coordinate and collaborate with crew members to accomplish set tasks and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Education

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field and 5 years of experience required. Or high school diploma or equivalent and 10 years of experience.

of 5-10 years of experience working as an electronics test engineer in aviation, aerospace, or space, ideally working with test, flight, and safety-critical hardware assemblies that require high attention to detail and quality of workmanship.

Experience leading and executing system test campaigns that certify systems against DO-160 or MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-704

Experience developing both component and system-level electronic and software support test equipment.

Experience in the use of electronic power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, electronics loads, and other standard test equipment

Experience working in and maintaining safe electrical and ESD standards.

Experience decomposing customer requirements into verification test plans and procedures for both performance and compliance-based requirements

Experience directly interfacing with customer test subject matter experts

Experience executing tests and debugging test failures, documenting test results and test failures.

Worked as part of root cause and analysis teams to resolve test failures.

Travel Requirements

Occasional overnight travel, often lasting up to one week, to customer facilities and offsite testing is expected for this position.

International travel may be required.
