A highly regarded contractor in the area is seeking a Controller and New CFO. This role is responsible for the finance functions in support of the full range of business activities. Responsibilities include financial reporting, strategic and operational decision-making support, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting and business analysis.
Responsibilities: This role will act as the CFO
Manage all aspects of the finance and accounting process. This includes but is not limited to, month-end close and preparation of financial statements, budgeting and forecasting, tax reporting, lead site audits, payroll and payroll tax returns, credit reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice and billing, account reconciliations, operational analysis and reporting, working capital analysis, monthly variance analysis and reporting, bank reconciliations, capital reporting and project support.
Key advisor to the business unit leader and member of the leadership team providing support for strategic and operational decision-making for a growing business
Assess, integrate and manage acquisitions
Overall management of the finance staff
Assist on special assignments, and prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis
Requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
4 year degree in accounting or business
Ability to communicate and collaborate with divisional and corporate functions and outside vendors including banks, insurance companies, suppliers etc.
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Preferred Qualifications:
Five years or more of relevant experience
Public accounting and/or construction experience
Experience with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (Timberline) software
CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
