Independent Contractor (Direct Support Professional)

We focus on each individual's unique needs and deliver the highest quality services possible by ensuring that each individual receives the right support, at the right time and frequency by a caring qualified staff member in the most independent setting appropriate.

We Need: InReach is looking for an Independent Contractor/Direct Support Professional for a male individual with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in Charlotte, NC 28226. The Independent Contractor will provide Respite services.

What You'll Do:

Instruction and assistance in home living environments.

Help individuals identify and acquire valued social roles.

Facilitate community integration.

Help individuals develop healthy social habits.

Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.

Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Valid driver's license and maintain safe driving record

One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred

Hours:

SAT/SUN: 4 PM -9 PM

Location: Charlotte, NC 28226

Pay Rate:

Respite: $16.07/hr

Job Type: Independent Contactor/1099

All InReach applicants are required to have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check.

*** This DSP position is an Independent Contractor position. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for their direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
