Responsibilities:
Lead field crews in Boundary & Topographic Surveys, Construction Layout, As-Built Surveys, Route Surveys, Bathymetric Surveys, and more
Utilize advanced surveying equipment, including Trimble total stations, GPS units, and laser scanners
Establish control networks, recover boundary monumentation, and conduct site calibrations
Maintain accurate field notes, sketches, and data logs, ensuring quality control
Train and mentor team members to develop their technical skills
Maintain company vehicles and survey equipment, ensuring proper use and care
Promote a strong safety culture by identifying risks, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring compliance
Qualifications:
5+ years of field experience, with at least 2 years in a Survey Crew/Party Chief role
Proficiency with Trimble GPS (Static and RTK), Trimble Access, and total stations
Experience with (or willingness to learn) Trimble laser scanners
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and navigate challenging terrain as needed
Valid drivers license with a clean record
Work Environment & Travel:
Travel to field project sites as needed (75-100%)
Requires physical effort, including lifting, carrying, and working in various field conditions
