Job Summary:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide healthcare services in a correctional facility. The RN will deliver high-quality nursing care to inmates, working collaboratively with custody staff and medical professionals to ensure the health and safety of the incarcerated population.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform physical assessments, triage patients, and provide nursing diagnoses and treatment plans.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by providers.

Provide emergency care and manage acute and chronic conditions.

Monitor patients for changes in condition and communicate findings to the provider.

Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with facility and legal standards.

Assist with intake screenings and assessments for new inmates.

Educate inmates on health conditions, medications, and preventive care.

Maintain infection control standards and ensure the secure handling of medical equipment and supplies.

Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and other RNs to coordinate patient care.

Comply with all legal, regulatory, and facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Active RN license in the state of Ohio.

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred; correctional, ER, or urgent care experience is a plus.

Strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills.

Ability to work in a secure environment and manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
